• Books (digital or physical), courses, downloads and other products
• Affiliate links and recommendations
• Social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram and other platforms
• Private or public online groups, including the Awaken Discovery Holistic Health & Wellbeing Facebook Group

01General Information & Counselling Disclaimer

All content provided by Awaken Discovery is offered for general informational, educational and reflective purposes only. It is not intended to constitute, and must not be relied upon as:

• Counselling or psychotherapy
• Psychological, psychiatric or medical advice
• Diagnosis, treatment or crisis intervention

Accessing or engaging with any content does not create a counselling or therapeutic relationship. A therapeutic relationship is formed only following:

• A formal assessment and intake details
• Mutual agreement
• A signed counselling contract

Counselling and psychotherapy services are provided in accordance with the BACP and NCPS Ethical Frameworks, including confidentiality, professional boundaries, safeguarding responsibilities, competence and informed consent.

Any books, products, courses, downloads or resources offered or promoted through Awaken Discovery are provided for informational and educational purposes only.

No guarantees are made regarding outcomes, results or benefits. You are solely responsible for how you use or apply any information or products purchased or accessed.

Some links may be affiliate links, meaning Awaken Discovery may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. This does not constitute endorsement, professional recommendation or guarantee.

04Social Media & Online Groups

Participation in social media channels or private or public online groups does not create a counselling or therapeutic relationship.

Discussions within groups or comment sections are:

• General, supportive and informational
• Not therapeutic interventions
• Not a substitute for professional support

Awaken Discovery does not monitor all user-generated content and is not responsible for content posted by users, except where required by law or where content is removed for breaching these Terms.

Users agree not to post content that is:

• Unlawful or defamatory
• Offensive, abusive or sexually explicit
• Promotional or commercial
• Misleading or presented as professional advice

Awaken Discovery reserves the right to remove content or restrict access at its discretion.

05Intellectual Property

All content across the website, blogs, social media platforms and online groups (including text, images, logos, graphics, videos, downloads and branding) is owned by Awaken Discovery or its licensors.

You may view and use content for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

You must not:

• Republish, duplicate, copy, sell or redistribute content
• Frame, manipulate or alter content without written permission
• Misrepresent or imply endorsement, partnership or affiliation

06User Comments & Contributions

Where users are permitted to post comments or content, you confirm that:

• You have the legal right and necessary consent to post the content
• The content does not infringe third-party rights
• The content is lawful and appropriate

By posting, you grant Awaken Discovery a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, edit and publish such content across its platforms.

Awaken Discovery may remove comments or contributions at its sole discretion.

• Limit or exclude liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
• Limit any liability that cannot be lawfully excluded

Awaken Discovery will not be liable for:

• Loss or damage arising from reliance on content or products
• User actions, interpretations or decisions
• User-generated content
• Third-party platforms, links or services

These Terms do not affect your rights or responsibilities under a formal counselling contract once therapy has commenced.

10Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11Reservation of Rights & Amendments

Awaken Discovery reserves the right to:

• Modify, update or remove content, products or services at any time
• Remove user content or links deemed inappropriate or in breach of these Terms
• Amend these Terms and Conditions at any time

Continued use of the website, products, services, social media platforms or online groups constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12Bulk Buying Payments

Bulk-buying packages are intended to support ongoing therapeutic work, fix dates and offer a reduced session rate in exchange for payment in advance. The terms below apply to anyone purchasing a bulk package of counselling sessions from Awaken Discovery and sit alongside the standard counselling agreement.

12.1Payment Policy

Payment for bulk-buying sessions at Awaken Discovery must be made in full before the first session begins.

Bulk-buying rates apply only to the specific package purchased and are non-transferable to other services or individuals.

12.2Cooling-Off Period

A 14-day cooling-off period applies from the date of purchase. During this period, the buyer may request a full refund provided no sessions have commenced. If a session is requested and delivered during the cooling-off period, the right to cancel and receive a full refund will end once the service has begun with the client's agreement.

12.3Non-Refundable Policy After Sessions Begin

Once the first session has been delivered, all bulk package payments are non-refundable.

Unused sessions cannot be refunded, exchanged or credited toward other services, except under specific, exceptional circumstances which remain at the discretion of Awaken Discovery.

No partial refunds will be provided for unused sessions once counselling services have commenced.

12.4Session Expiration

All sessions purchased in a bulk package must be used within 6 months of the most recent session attended.

Any sessions not used within this period will expire and cannot be refunded or extended.

12.5Rescheduling Policy

Clients may reschedule individual sessions with a minimum of 48 hours' notice.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or non-attendance, will incur the standard cancellation fee as outlined in the counselling agreement:

• £30 for 60-minute individual sessions
• £45 for 90-minute individual sessions
• £60 for 60-minute couples' sessions
• £70 for 90-minute couples' sessions

While the session is considered missed, it can still be rescheduled.

Clients also reserve the right to use a session from their bulk package to cover the missed session. However, they acknowledge that the bulk session's value will typically exceed the incurred cancellation fee.

If a bulk-purchased session is missed and no contact is made within 48 hours after the session, it will be considered used and cannot be rescheduled, refunded or reinstated.

12.6Exceptional Circumstances

Awaken Discovery reserves the right to consider extensions, credits or alternative arrangements in exceptional circumstances. Any such arrangements are made solely at the discretion of Awaken Discovery and do not create an ongoing entitlement.

Any discretion exercised under this clause does not automatically waive cancellation fees or missed session charges.

12.7Changes to These Terms

Awaken Discovery reserves the right to amend these bulk-buying terms and conditions, with notice provided to clients currently on bulk payments before implementing changes.
